Making technology easier to understand is an important goal. It can help people feel more comfortable and confident using it and promote greater adoption and use of technology in various areas.

I can’t do it alone, so if you take one of these tips and use them, it could help others.

Here are some tips for making tech easier to understand:

  1. Use plain language: Avoid using technical jargon and complex terms when explaining technology. Instead, use simple and clear language that is easy to understand.
  2. Provide analogies: Use analogies to explain complex technology concepts in terms that people can relate to. For example, you could explain how a computer network works by comparing it to a postal service.
  3. Use visuals: Visuals such as diagrams, charts, and videos can be a great way to illustrate technology concepts and make them easier to understand.
  4. Provide examples: Use real-life examples to illustrate how technology can be used in different contexts. For example, you could explain how a mobile app can be used to order food or to book a ride.
  5. Break it down: If you’re explaining a complex technology concept, try to break it down into smaller parts and explain each part separately. This can help people better understand how everything fits together.
  6. Be patient: Remember that not everyone will understand technology concepts immediately, and it may take time for some people to grasp the ideas you’re explaining. Be patient and be willing to answer questions and provide additional explanations as needed.
  7. Use interactive tools: Interactive tools such as quizzes, games, and simulations can be an effective way to engage people and help them better understand technology concepts. For example, you could create a quiz to test people’s knowledge of different types of computer hardware.
  8. Provide context: When explaining technology, it’s important to provide context and explain how the technology fits into the larger picture. This can help people better understand why the technology is important and how it can be used.
  9. Avoid overwhelming people: When explaining technology, it’s important to avoid overwhelming people with too much information at once. Instead, try to break the information into manageable chunks and focus on the most important points.
  10. Stay up-to-date: Technology is constantly evolving, and it’s essential to stay up-to-date on the latest developments and trends. This can help you better explain technology concepts to others and ensure that the information you’re providing is accurate and relevant.

By following these tips

who may not have a strong technical background or familiarity with the technology you are explaining.

This can include children, seniors, people with disabilities, or anyone who simply wants to learn more about technology.

In conclusion, making technology easier to understand is an important goal for anyone who wants to promote greater use and adoption of technology. By using clear language, providing examples, using visuals, and staying up-to-date with the latest developments, you can help ensure that people of all ages and backgrounds can benefit from the many opportunities that technology has to offer.

Innovation, collaboration & Tech

Innovation, collaboration & Tech

Techembrace is a company I founded to help users to use technology effectively.
What is the reason for this post?
I thought I would share with you some things for free, what I have learnt this year that you may or may not know.

1. During Tech week, I was impressed with the way the Fujitsu team approached collaboration, hence the video.

2. On LinkedIn, people were posting about Matthew Ball, who wrote The Metaverse, And How It Will Revolutionize Everything.
I decided to buy it after several comments about it.The book is intriguing but, more important, it reinforced my knowledge level on the subject.

3. I spoke to lots of exhibitors at the recent Exhibition about how Augmented Reality can add a virtual element to food packaging.
Some people said they didn’t have the skills and that it was too expensive.

A final thought was really thank you to all the people that collaborate, share knowledge and highlight the skills we need to move forward. #Innovation #embracetechnology

Tech moves at such a pace, the cover featured picture was taken at Crystal Palace study centre over 7 years ago long before anyone knew or even heard of the Metaverse. The video was from Tech week where I had the pleasure to see the latest innovation including driving a formula 1 racing car around brands hatch.

How to Block Robotexts and Spam Messages | PCMag

You hear the sound of an incoming text message and excitedly check your phone. But it’s just a junk message sent to you by a spammer trying to con you into tapping a link, opening an attachment, calling a number, or doing something else likely to cause you trouble.

Robotexts and spam messages are a fact of life, just like robocalls and junk email. They may not be as invasive as a spam call, since you can largely ignore them, but that doesn’t make them harmless. Some phone plans may charge you for incoming text messages and smishing (SMS phishing) attacks can be even more dangerous if you’re not careful.

However, you don’t have to put up with them. Just as you can fight against robocalls, you can block and stop robotexts with the right tricks and tools.

Do Not Respond

First and foremost, do not interact with the message. If you click a link or attachment in a spam message, it could trigger malware that infects your phone. You also don’t want to respond. Many legitimate robotexts include an option to text STOP to tell the company to remove you from their distribution list, but that doesn’t work with scammers.

In fact, by responding to a spam message, you’re only confirming to the scammer that your number is valid. From there, your phone number may be disseminated to other scammers, increasing your odds of getting more junk messages. So unless you know the text came from a legitimate company that honors such requests, you’re better off not responding at all.

Block Phone Numbers

You can block a number that’s been sending you junk messages. The drawback with this approach is that spammers typically spoof or switch phone numbers. So even if you block the number, you can still receive messages from the same spammer using a different number.

On an iPhone, open the text message you received. Tap the phone number at the top of the screen and then tap the Info button. At the next screen, select Block this Caller and then tap Block Contact to confirm.

On an Android phone, open the text and tap the three-dot icon in the upper right. The steps then vary based on your phone and OS version. Either select the Block number option, or select Details and then tap Block & report spam.

Report Phone Numbers

You can report a robotext to your mobile carrier by forwarding it to a specific number. To do this on an iPhone, press down on the offending message. Tap More and then tap the right arrow to forward it as a new text. To do this on an Android phone, press down on the message. Tap the three-dot icon at the top and select Forward. Text the new message to 7726, which spells out SPAM. The number works for AT&T, Verizon Wireless, and T-Mobile, all of which will use the information to try and block future spam messages.

Filter Out Spammers

On an Android phone, you can disable all potential spam messages from Google’s Messages app. Tap the three-dot icon in the upper right of the app and select Settings > Spam protection and turn on the Enable spam protection switch. Your phone will now alert you if an incoming message is suspected of being spam.

On an iPhone, you can filter messages from unknown senders into their own folder within the Messages app. Go to Settings > Messages. Turn on the switch for Filter Unknown Senders.

The top US mobile carriers offer their own filtering and blocking tools for subscribers. For the most part, they’re geared more toward spam phone calls, but they can also block numbers that attempt to deliver spam text messages.

Verizon’s Call Filter blocks robocalls and spam messages. The basic version is free, while the Plus version costs $2.99 for a single line or $7.99 a month for three or more lines. T-Mobile offers Scam Shield, a collection of free services to detect, block, and mislead spam and scam callers. It also includes a caller ID feature for numbers not already in your contact list.

The carriers also have technology on the back end to identify and block spam messages in much the same way email providers try to stop spam email messages. If you need more robust robotext filtering, you may want to check out a third-party app.

SpamHound SMS Spam Filter

SpamHound is a free service that works differently depending on the type of phone you own. The iOS app supplements Apple’s built-in Messages app to filter out SMS spam. But the Android app becomes your default SMS app for sending and receiving texts. SpamHound automatically displays past text messages and provides easy access to your contacts, but you can’t add GIFs, images, videos, or other files.

As for message blocking, it can detect spam based on keywords and other factors. To fine-tune SpamHound’s powers of deduction, you’re encouraged to create blacklist and whitelist rules for what you want filtered out or allowed to come through.

SMS Spam Stopper

Designed just for iOS, SMS Spam Stopper is a $2.99 app that uses artificial intelligence to try to detect spam messages. The app attempts to block spam that matches the SMS signatures of the 5,000 spam SMS messages in its own database. You can also tweak the app to block texts from any number not in your contacts. You’re even able to set up allowed words, blocked words, and blocked phone numbers to further control and filter out likely spam messages.

To get you started, SMS Spam Stopper helpfully provides a series of videos to show you how to configure it. After that, any spam messages that it detects are banished to the Unknown & Junk section of the iOS messaging app where you can review them.

Designed for iOS and Android, RoboKiller costs $3.99 a month or $29.99 a year. The app looks at each message to analyze the phone number, message content, attachments, and other elements to determine if the text is legitimate or not.

To set up SMS spam blocking on an Android phone, go to Settings and select the option for SMS Spam Recognition. Though the feature can’t stop SMS spam from reaching you entirely, it will alert you if a text message is tagged as spam so that you can determine whether to respond or ignore it. On an iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Unknown & Spam. In the section for SMS Filtering, turn on the switch for RoboKiller. If a message is deemed to be spam, RoboKiller moves it to the SMS Junk folder in the Messages app where you can review it.

The folks behind RoboKiller also offer an iPhone app called TextKiller specifically to block text messages. By default, the app looks for certain words, terms, and other tip-offs to determine which texts are spam. You can assist it by labeling spam messages so it learns from your actions.

You can also set up block filters by adding specific phone numbers and blacklisting keywords such as “Buy now.” Any messages identified as spam are stored in a separate junk tab separate from legitimate texts. The basic version is free but limited. A premium edition costs $3.99 a month or $29.99 a year with a free one-week trial.

Meta Brings Metaverse-Like 3D Ads to Facebook and Instagram – Bitcoin News

Meta Brings Metaverse-Like 3D Ads to Facebook and Instagram – Bitcoin News

Meta Brings Metaverse-Like 3D Ads to Facebook and Instagram

Meta is bringing interactive 3D ads to Facebook and Instagram feeds, inspired by the metaverse pivot the company has begun to execute since its name change. This is possible due to a new integration in Meta’s AR (Augmented Reality) publishing library with a development from a company called Vntana.

Vntana Integrates 3D Ads in Meta’s Apps

Publishers will now be able to include 3D models in their ads on platforms like Facebook and Instagram, that belong to Meta. This innovation will allow any publisher to include these metaverse-inspired ads in the feeds the platforms, with users being able to interact with the objects. The innovation was presented by a company called Vntana, which acts as a service provider so other companies can include their 3D assets in social feeds.

According to a press release issued by the company, Vntana has exclusive access to Meta’s AR API to integrate their services to be able to achieve this goal. “Just like regular ads, 3D ads appear in users’ Facebook and Instagram feeds displaying interactive 3D models that users can tap and interact with – moving the product around to view all angles,” the release details.

Metaverse Monetization

This innovation might be part of the first monetization strategies that include metaverse-like elements in Meta-owned platforms. On this, Ashley Crowder, co-founder and CEO of Vntana, stated:

3D and AR technology in online ads is the next frontier for brands looking to connect with the digital consumer and is a great first step into the metaverse.

She further stated that this release might bring democratization to the ad space in these platforms, given that now more companies can bring their products to pontential customers. Customers are also said to benefit because they can see a more detailed model of these products in a 3D, metaverse-like view.

Chris Barbour, director of Augmented Reality Business Development & Partnerships at Meta, declared:

3D and AR open a new door of advertising possibilities for retail and e-commerce brands, improving the customer experience from the point of acquisition.

Meta’s flagship AR app, Horizon Worlds, which offers a set of metaverse experiences for users, is currently not being monetized by the company. This technology might be used in the future to allow Meta to monetize and include ads from different brands in these spaces.

What are the important steps to creating a metaverse virtual world?

What are the important steps to creating a metaverse virtual world?

The metaverse can easily expand the massive virtual world and makes it more collaborative, immersive, and interactive when compared to the internet. In spite of many technologies and entrepreneurs currently available, blockchain technology came into existence as an amazing technological framework that supports and assists in creating an effective ecosystem, especially for the metaverse. Nowadays, we are already having a basic version of a metaverse available in the Gaming NFT marketplaces. Many top gaming companies are showing interest to build their Blockchain Metaverse projects are now looking forward to the metaverse space, which reflects that virtual reality and metaverse are the future.

What is a metaverse?

The Metaverse is a three-dimensional, online, and ever-existing world that is created of various virtual spaces. Day-to-day tasks may be done online, offering remote meetings and entertainment very common. Metaverse is usually referred to as yet to be created, but certain platforms have created elements more similar to Metaverse.

Important steps to create a metaverse virtual world

Metaverse is known to be an interconnection of various technologies mainly focused on networking. Let’s find out and understand clearly what is required to be implemented in each and every step.

Choose a metaverse platform

If you are looking to launch a robust metaverse app or space, the important thing you are required to do is to select a proper metaverse platform. You need to either select from the already launched metaverse platforms in the market, such as, Facebook Meta. You can also select to create your own metaverse platform right from the scratch. However, creating your own metaverse platform will be costlier but more appropriate for custom metaverse needs, especially for businesses and enterprises. The platforms that are being available in the market nowadays are in their growing stages and due to that reason, the functionalities, features, developer communities can not be that evolved.

Design the metaspace

When you have selected the required metaverse platform, the next step is designing the metaspace. A metaspace is an app, a virtual conference hall or a virtual home theater, or a virtual meeting room. Metaspace is a virtual space, that will be accessed through a VR headset. Inside the metaspace, users may interact with the environment as well as other users in it. So, if you are thinking to create a virtual meeting room for the business, you may be required for designing a virtual metaspace that may be added easily to the metaverse.

Build an interaction layer

The next important step is to create an interaction layer with which the user will be able to interact in the metaspace that has been designed. For instance, a 3D type for a meeting room will be useless without an option for users for interacting inside it. The interaction layer refers to the access criteria, user controls, navigation controls, and communication protocols for the proper interaction between various users. The interaction layer refers to the integration with third-party software and tools that are required to assist the overall metaspace functioning.

Build an interoperability layer

Interoperability standards to enable the operational tasks will support the sharing and exchange of data between various systems. The aim of interoperability is to use and access data and various digital objects independently by both machines and humans. Interoperability standards will be a common language with a set of expectations that are common and allows interoperability between any two parties. Metaverse will support any payment gateway that enables the transfer of virtual crypto or money. Selecting a blockchain to have transparent, decentralized, and secure transactions will be needed to have a completely functional virtual world.

Cost to build a metaverse virtual world

Creating a virtual world for a metaverse will be a skill-intensive and time-consuming method that makes use of the rich technologies that are existing presently. Taking into consideration the fee that the user needs to pay the professionals or experts and also the energy and time spent on creating and launching the customized virtual world project need to cost from $20,000 to $300,000.

A top Metaverse development company can assist you with end-to-end metaverse support services for UX/UI designing that includes oracle, smart contracts, etc. along with the latest technical services. We also provide blockchain development services for metaverse, platform architecting, interoperability components to offer the ultimate designs that you are looking for.

Metaverse has attained more attraction in the past few years because it can connect users from the real world for engaging in the virtual environment. Many industry giants have already started implementing metaverse for more benefits. Nextbrain Technologies is the best Metaverse development company offering high-quality and customized metaverse solutions to improve the growth of your business.

Taylor Life in Other Word

When, while the lovely valley teems with vapor around me, and the meridian sun strikes the upper surface of the impenetrable foliage of my trees, and but a few stray gleams steal into the inner sanctuary, I throw myself down among the tall grass by the trickling stream; and, as I lie close to the earth, a thousand unknown plants are noticed by me: when I hear the buzz of the little world among the stalks, and grow familiar with the countless indescribable forms of the insects and flies, then I feel the presence of the Almighty, who formed us in his own image, and the breath of that universal love which bears and sustains us, as it floats around us in an eternity of bliss; and then, my friend, when darkness overspreads my eyes, and heaven and earth seem to dwell in my soul and absorb its power, like the form of a beloved mistress, then I often think with longing, Oh, would I could describe these conceptions, could impress upon paper all that is living so full and warm within me, that it might be the mirror of my soul, as my soul is the mirror of the infinite God!

O my friend — but it is too much for my strength — I sink under the weight of the splendor of these visions! A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot, which was created for the bliss of souls like mine.

I am so happy, my dear friend, so absorbed in the exquisite sense of mere tranquil existence, that I neglect my talents. I should be incapable of drawing a single stroke at the present moment; and yet I feel that I never was a greater artist than now.

When, while the lovely valley teems with vapor around me, and the meridian sun strikes the upper surface of the impenetrable foliage of my trees, and but a few stray gleams steal into the inner sanctuary, I throw myself down among the tall grass by the trickling stream; and, as I lie close to the earth, a thousand unknown plants are noticed by me: when I hear the buzz of the little world among the stalks, and grow familiar with the countless indescribable forms of the insects and flies, then I feel the presence of the Almighty, who formed us in his own image, and the breath of that universal love which bears and sustains us, as it floats around us in an eternity of bliss; and then, my friend, when darkness overspreads my eyes, and heaven and earth seem to dwell in my soul and absorb its power, like the form of a beloved mistress, then I often think with longing, Oh, would I could describe these conceptions, could impress upon paper all that is living so full and warm within me.
